Trampoline repairs: new mats, nets, padding and springs.

A trampoline frame outlives its soft parts three times over. We make the soft parts: jumping mats sewn to your frame's size, enclosure nets, spring padding and the springs to match. Any brand, round or rectangular.

Photo coming soon: a new jumping mat on the bench.

What we do

  • New jumping mats, sewn to your frame's size with new webbing and galvanised triangles
  • Restitching of UV-perished mats: resewn right around, worn loops and triangles replaced
  • New safety enclosure nets, made to your frame size, pole count and pole height
  • New spring padding: foam covered in UV-resistant PVC, sized to your frame and springs
  • Replacement galvanised springs supplied, common hook-to-hook sizes from 85 mm to 260 mm
  • Round, rectangular and in-ground trampolines, any brand

Frames are steel work, not canvas work.

We replace everything that bounces, covers or encloses. A bent or rusted frame belongs at a metal shop, and we'll tell you so upfront rather than bodge it.

How to measure your trampoline

Measure the frame, not the old mat. Old mats stretch; frames don't lie.

A D
Round: A outside of frame to outside of frame. D count every spring.
B C D
Rectangular: B short side and C long side, outside to outside. D count every spring.
E
Enclosure net: E mat surface to the top of a pole. Count the poles too.
  1. Measure the frame (A, or B and C)

Round: one measurement straight across, outside edge to outside edge (A). Rectangular: the short side (B) and the long side (C), both outside to outside. Don't measure the old mat.

  2. Count the springs (D)

Every spring position counts, including any with missing springs.

  3. Measure one spring, hook to hook (F)

Take a spring off the trampoline and measure it unstretched, from the tip of one hook to the tip of the other. Common sizes run from 85 mm to 260 mm.

F
F: one spring off the frame, unstretched, tip of hook to tip of hook.

Ordering a net or padding too?

For an enclosure net, add the number of poles and the height from the mat to the top of a pole (E in the diagram above). For spring padding, add the spring length you measured in step 3; the padding must cover it.

On site and spotted a dead trampoline?

Contractors use this service to look after their clients. A painter or garden service sees the perished mat, sends us the three measurements, collects the new parts and hands the client a working trampoline. Your name on the favour: see trampoline repairs for contractors.

    Common questions

Why do you need three measurements for a mat?

Because all three must match: the frame diameter (measure it twice, at right angles), the spring count (the mat's V-rings must equal it), and one spring's unstretched length, hook tip to hook tip. Get those right and the new mat fits any brand.

Can't I just order a '12 ft' or 'Jumbo' mat?

Don't. South African frames from the old local makers don't match imported foot sizes, and a 'Jumbo' here is a 4.5 by 3.5 m rectangle, not a 14 ft round. We make to your measurements, so the name on the frame doesn't matter.

Can I fit the mat myself?

Yes. Work with two people and a spring tool, fitting springs criss-cross: 12 o'clock, then 6, then 3, then 9, and keep halving the gaps so the tension stays even.

What colours do the parts come in?

Mats are UV-resistant black polypropylene, the standard worldwide. Spring padding comes in green, blue or black. Nets are black.
